About Jan Lloyd

Crafting Unforgettable Stories

Discover the magic of storytelling with Jan Lloyd.

Jan Lloyd is the creative mind behind the War Torn Series, where intricately woven narratives captivate readers and evoke a myriad of emotions. With a focus on character-driven plots and engaging storytelling, each book is a journey of discovery and intensity. Jan wrote  War Torn Books 1 and 2 over thirty years ago. After being told in the early 80s that there was little interest in World War 2, Jan put her manuscripts in the wardrobe and forgot about them until 2021, when her daughter asked if she could read the manuscripts. Jan hadn't read a word of them for forty years and was surprised by the amount of work she had put into them. War Torn was resurrected, developmentally edited, and line edited, and Jan published Book 1, The Mermen and The Doctor, in March 1923 and Book 2, The French Girl, later that year. Book 3, The Aftermath, was completed and published in March 2025.

A paranormal time slip story, Fragments of Time, was also published in 2025. This story takes place in the village where Jan and her family lived for many years, adding a personal touch to the narrative. It's a timeslip novel featuring characters from 1914 and 1964.

Jan is currently writing a novel about Arbella Stuart, set in Tudor and Stuart times.

Jan is a retired mathematics and science teacher. Since retiring, she has lived in Mid Wales with her partner and dogs. She is a proud mum and grandmother.
